Supply and Installation
During the riots in Liverpool in August 2024 (following the tragic and fatal stabbing of three young girls in Southport) Spellow Library and community hub was vandalised and set on fire. This resulted in the main entrance curtain walling screen being severely damaged and rendered unsafe. We were contracted to remove the burnt-out screen and replace this with a new curtain walling screen and glazing.
Due to this being in the public eye and the scheduled Labour party conference in Liverpool we were under tight time constraints. From receipt of order and approval of drawings we were able to survey, supply and install the screen in just 3 weeks. This enabled the internal works to continue program and allow the centre to reopen on time.
Systems used: Jack Aluminium thermally broken curtain walling.
